Message From The President, AAA |
|
 |
| President, AAA |
Thank you one all for being supportive in establishing the Australian Alumni Association and making it one of the leading Alumni Associations in India. We also stand tall as our organization today is looked on par with the Harvard Alumni Association and Oxford Alumni Association. Which is seen in the articles of a national magazine “ The Business India”, on December 22nd 2003. We also have successfully completed our website which facilitate to better networking as well as provides news which the alumni can use.
In the current year our main aim is to make all other city chapters very active. We also would be working on developing the model which can facilitate operations for the individual chapters. We also intend to create a governing body for all the chapters, which would steer all the chapters. The heads of all the main chapters would ideally form the board of the Governing Body. Well moving from the administrative side we are also trying to organize an annual fund raising event for AAA in every major city. The funds collected would be dedicated either to specific projects, or to the corpus of the AAA, towards a particular cause.
Well as our vision statement says ‘To create a network, which imparts knowledge for the development of the community' . In view of the same we at the committee decided that education is the only way we can shape future generations and also increasing the pace of India overall development. Hence we propose that each chapter should look at adopting a public school at the nearest where the members of the AAA can be involved in teaching classes, contribute towards their expenses, hosting the teachers or students from Australia who would like come to India to join our project by contributing to the development of the children as well as the school the school at large. The first such project would be started in Chennai. |
